Viewing Conditions

All areas under test using non-fluorescent inks should be adequately illuminated using artificial light if necessary. For fluorescent inks, a UV-A radiation with subdued background lighting should be used, the darker the better, to increase the overall contrast ratio. However, the darker the ambient lighting conditions, the higher the operator eye strain becomes, warranting more regular breaks to reduce operator fatigue.
